1. What a story! I especially like the dog biscuit part. The teller was very observant and certainly not obligated to make that little donation to you. It’s those random acts of kindness that really make a difference! Don’t get me wrong, I like free ice cream too. It was a very creative promotion with a great cause. I wonder what they would push through that little tunnel if you were pulling a horse trailer.

2. I think that there are a bunch of things going on in this story. It hits on a lot of different ways to communicate. Sometimes the simplest way is still the best.

5. Oooh, great story, Jenn! I’m sad I wasn’t around to take advantage of the Connecticut Bank sweets… boo! Not like, lactose-challenged as I am, I could’ve eaten them, but still… What is a fantastic idea on the part of Webster Bank! I really think that the dog bone tops it off quite nicely (and crunchily, too). People are wild about their pets, and generally, taking care of them (the four-legged friends, that is), curries favor with their masters. This is definitely a swing and a hit. Thanks for sharing!

6. I love how you write!!! It is like a book I don’t want to put down. I totally agree that the ice cream truck is a very good advertising technique. I am on the other end - I produce the advertising people give me by printing etc. One of my favorite tricks I’ve seen is when they put one letter backwards in the name to grab your attention. I love that the bank gave your dog a free treat. I am all about the Free stuff too. Thanks again for sharing that story, very inspiring.
