My final words…
If you’re reading this, you probably read my blog post written on June 16, 2009. It was in many ways a testament to my dad. It was written on his 84th birthday.
A lot has changed in my life since that day. I’ve decided to leave Fathom and take on the challenge of growing an association that serves non-profits. It’s a big change for me, and I’m relishing the upcoming challenge. This will be my final post as a Fathom employee. I will soon become the COO of The Alliance for Non-profit Growth and Opportunity. When it’s not your day…it’s not your day!
For a variety of reasons, I decided that I should get a new Mac laptop this afternoon. The most compelling of which is that my wife and I are moving in a couple of days, and I would rather not be without a computer for a week. Don’t get me wrong, the iPhone does a LOT, and I could live without a computer if I really needed to. At the heart of it, I’m a gadget guy and a new laptop is a gadget of the finest order.

Do the right thing
This was inspired by the blog post “You Matter” by Seth Godin.
I’m writing this on my Dad’s 84th birthday and Father’s Day is this coming Sunday. My Dad mattered a lot to me, he still does in fact. My Dad was my mentor, coach, business partner, teacher, friend and always my moral compass.
