Double Rainbow Guy Has A Purpose In the Online World and So Do You

One of the biggest naysaying comments we receive from clients about publishing their work online or even engaging in online conversations is: what’s the point if I will only add to the noise?

The “noise” is a mix of people taking action, junk, groundbreaking ideas, cultural phenoms, personal brand blogs, blogs for the sake of blogging, hobbies, news sites and more. Like anything, the online world is full of great stuff and its [More...]

Turning Marketers into Social Media Champs for Nonprofits in Connecticut

Yesterday Fathom and CT Nonprofits kicked off our “Social Media Champs” certificate series for nonprofit Marketers. We have a really interesting mix in the class with organizations focused on a variety of areas in health, hunger, education, community, youth and rehabilitation.

We promoted the class to people who are already using social networking platforms (Facebook, etc.) because we didn’t want to spend time in the class answering the “why” question. If we have to convince [More...]

THE BIG ZINGER!

Observation. One of the side benefits of being an active twitter user is that if forces you to trim down your ideas to the bare essentials and still build impact into a short phrase. With all of us facing information overload, having headlines disseminated into digestible chunks has its merits. Like a nod to the news industry, with a big fat block-type Zinger!

Def: Zinger, A surprising or unusually pointed or telling remark.
